Dinner at Zakoya

I only crave for only two types of food - Filipino and Japanese. When Blogie sent me an invitation for dinner at Zakoya , a Japanese restaurant here in Davao, I can’t turn him down. So the other night, together with blogger friends Ria, Winston, Andrew, Eric, Dom and two of Blogie’s cousins Christian and Ria Lu, we feasted Japanese food.

The variety of Maki was a feast to the eyes that’s why I tasted each. It was the first time I ate black seaweeds(wakame) and it was a delight. The soup, at the middle of the picture above, tasted like soft boiled eggs mixed with vegetables and spices, to flavor, and I loved it. I’m a sashimi addict and the tuna served was exquisite though I find the wasabe not too strong for my taste. There were homemade ice cream and fruits as well.

I regret my wife was not with me during that time. She enjoys Japanese food as I do. But nevertheless it was a dinner worth remembering.

Zakoya is located at Door #3 DavCon Autoville, Torres St., Davao City. Tel.: (82)227-7760.
