The retirement of PHP 4
They say it’s the end of life for PHP 4 after the development team announced that support will only continue till the end of year 2007.
But no, it’s not the end of life of PHP 4 but rather it is simply retiring. After more than 7 years of service, PHP 4 now deserves a break.

PHP 5 is now being heavily promoted by Zend. Even PHP frameworks are jumping in.
